The board of Heeren XVII tries to coordinate her activities in a proper way. When working within an association as Heeren XVII many activities take place, good coordination and planning is necessary. The board coordinates the activities that the various committees develop themselves. Thanks to many active members in each of the fifteen committees, many activities are being organised.

In addition to the intensive contact with the committees the board also functions as the first point of contact for outside outside the associations. It will keep for example contact with the other student at Wageningen University, the Dutch Association of Technology in Agriculture (NVTL), the ict association for agriculture, food and green space (VIAS), businesses and institutions, the National Agricultural Historical Museum and the organizations within Wageningen University. Heeren XVII publishes a resume book each year. Companies within the working field of Agricultural and Bioresource Engineering are pointed at the resumes of the students. For ensuring each year enough new students enrol for a programme, the board is actively engaged in the promotion of the training Agrotechnology. Last year, there are also some active students who organised a practical at secondary schools.

The board consists of Fred Kool, Mans Vossebeld, Rick Verhoijsen, Jeroen Straver en Tom van Zundert. As chairman of the board Fred coordinates the actions of the other board members. It is also his job to chair the board meeting, the General Assembly and the Members Monthly Rigro's. The outcomes of these meetings are all documented precisely by Mans, the secretary. Fred also manages the mail and e-mails and makes invitations for meetings. Mans takes care of the agenda for the whole board. The commissioner internal affairs is responsible for all contacts between the board and the committees. The commissioner internal affairs produces a DVD with photographs and reports of Heeren XVII each year. Also, Jeroen is concerned with education. Jeroen chairs the Small Rigro five times a year. The Small Rigro is a meeting with the education-related committees of Heeren XVII. For all external affairs and relations Tom is the involved person. As Commissioner external affairs he maintains contact with former members, the National Agricultural Historical Museum, the ICT association for agriculture, food and green space (VIAS), and all businesses and relationships with Heeren XVII. In the field of giving information to new students Tom is particularly active in organizing the Open Day and Shadow days and some other activities to recruit students. Rick is the treasurer of the association. In this role he manages all financial matters, ensuring that the membership fee is payed on time. Further on he keeps track of the addresses and contact information of all (former) members. At the beginning of each academic year a financial report is written by the treasurer. If necessary, he purchases the gifts for public relations of the association.

Every Tuesday and Thursday during the week, there is a contact hour during lunch. From 12:30 hours to 13:00 hours, a board member is present in the Heeren XVII-room at the Technotron building. During these hours old exams or gifts can be obtained. Besides Heeren XVII promotion products can be purchased and / or obtained. When you have any questions or problems, come along or send an e-mail to Heeren.XVII @ wur.nl. We will do our best to find answers or solutions.
